Stefan Krüger hat auf der Euluc-Plattform bekannt gegeben, dass Notes&Domino Kunden mit aktiver Passport Wartung die Berechtigung haben, Connections Files&Profiles bei sich einzusetzen.

A: AIX, Linux und Windows. Das File Modul (in der neusten Version) gibt es mittlerweile auch für Mac OSx

F: Wird es für Notes&Domino-Kunden ein kostenreduziertes Update von Connections Files&Profiles zu Connections (alle Module) geben?

Für Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5.2 hat die IBM am 18.Juli 2011 ein Fix Pack 3 herausgegeben.

Eine Ausnahme hat sich in den ersten Tagen schon herausgearbeitet. Bei der Installation vom Lotus Domino 8.5.2 FP3 unter Linux ( sowohl SLES als auch RHEL ) kann der iNotes-Web Access evtl. nicht vernünftig funktionieren. Hier ist von der Installation abzuraten bzw. eine Deinstallation zu empfehlen.

Anbei ein kleiner Auszug aus der Liste.
•   Firefox 5 sowie Internet Explorer 9 wird supportet in iNotes
•   Behebung des Domino Crash beim Verarbeiten von iCal-Nachrichten
•   Verbesserung der Drag&Drop-Ablage von Dateien im Standard-Client

Am 30 April 2011 wird der Support für Lotus Notes R7.x enden. Der Support für Lotus Notes R7.x endet genau ein Jahr nachdem IBM den Support für Lotus Notes R6.5 eingestellt hat.

IBM hat am 17.12.2010 das FixPack 1 für Lotus Notes / Domino 8.5.2 veröffentlicht.
Das FixPack behebt eine Menge Fehler.

Auszug der Fixes bezüglich Domino:

Server

SPR# AHOE889QP4 – Fixed a Domino Server crash: Panic: Osbblockaddr: Bad Bblock Handle, which can occur under certain circumstances while transaction logging is doing a partial rollback on a database.

SPR# HNAA7SPB6X – Fixed a crash during server shutdown. This fix disables the usage of wsacleanup ms api.

SPR# JFBM85TTZY – With this fix, the size of the attendee fields on a iCalendar invite will be limited so the maximum size of summary items will not be exceeded. These fields are set to 32K in default. This limit can be configured more specifically via the $IcalSMTP2NtsAddrLstSzLmt ini parameter (such as $IcalSMTP2NtsAddrLstSzLmt=36 to allow lists to total 36K). These fields combined with all other summary fields cannot exceed 62K.

SPR# JPAI86SJ37 – This fix addresses issues erroring out of NIFOpenCollection calling NIFCloseCollection causing a panic with invalid access to a collection structure.

SPR# JPAI896PRQ – Fixed an infinite loop in nserver.exe.

SPR# JPMS8A2MDM – This fix corrects a lock of the GUL semaphore which should be for ODS 51 only. This regression was introduced in 8.5.2.

SPR# JRED84BLGN – Fixed a problem where compaction would not effectively compact databases. This regression was introduced in 8.5.

SPR# KHAN86WTVS – Fixed a problem with inplace size calculation stats for databases greater than 4 GB.

SPR# KKOO66F4BW – Implemented the ability to enable automatic responses to the meeting invitations option with associated ICON note info.

SPR# LMIL88Q62X – Defensive fix for SMTP CPU Spike on malformed delivery failures. This will fix an overall system slowdown due to consuming the CPU. This regression was introduced in 8.5.2.

SPR# MDIY89XMSR – Prior to this fix, OSFileCopy was not copying all data for files greater than 4GB.

SPR# MJBG86AS2Z – This fix prevents a crash in NSFDbModifiedTime4 which can occur under certain circumstances.

Sicherheitslücke im Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1

Es gibt eine Schwachstelle im IBM Lotus Notes Traveler die von Angreifern ausgenutzt werden kann, um beliebigen Scripting Code auszuführen. Dieses Problem wird durch einen unbekannten Eingabeüberprüfungsfehler innerhalb des Lotus Traveler Servlet verursacht. Die Angreifer können durch den Sicherheitskontext der betroffenen Site beliebigen Script-Code durch den Browser des Benutzers ausführen lassen.

Lösung:

Im Lotus Notes 8.5.2 Kontaktbuch gibt es die möglichkeit, einzelne Kontakte oder Gruppen als Privat zu makieren.
Man kann einem Kontakt auch eine Gruppe oder einen Ort schicken. Diese Gruppe oder Ort wird dann in das Kontaktbuch des Empfängers importiert.
Letzte Kontakte sind nun leichter zu entfernen.

Notes Basic 8.5.1 Fix Pack 3 enthält ein Update für ein auftretendes Problem in Sametime. Dies kann zur Beeinträchtigung der Benutzer führen. Das Problem ist in Sametime Notes Basic 8.5.1 Fix Pack 1 & Fix Pack 2 eingebettet.

Problembeschreibung:
In einigen Fällen ist das primäre Symptom des Problems, dass der Notes-Client plötzlich verschwinden und schweigend abstürzt, ohne dass eine NSD erstellt wird.

IBM empfiehlt den Kunden, die den Notes Basic Client benutzen, dass Fix Pack 3 zu installieren.

Hinweis:
Dieses Problem hat keine Auswirkungen auf den Notes Standard Client.
